On 9th May 2019, the British Standard Institution (BSI), Quantech Co., Limited and Blockchain Technology Assurance Institution(BTAI) co-hosted “Get Certificated in Blockchain Technology” seminar at BSI office in Cambridge House.
In the event we have invited two guest speakers, Mr. Ricky Chim Kim-loon, founder of the fellowship of financial development strategy and Dr. Alex Li, the founding chairman of Blockchain Compliance Foundation.
Over 50 experts from technology, fintech, finial industries expert attended to the event to participate discussing and sharing of the future of the Blockchain technology.
Before the main event, Mr. Ricky Ng, the Sales and Marketing Director of BSI Hong Kong, shared with the guess how BSI provide the knowledge that organisations need to succeed, and deliver it in concentrated form.
Mr. Ricky Chim shared with us the potential application of blockchain technology in the financial industry. He also suggested as technology is changing faster than regulators can keep up.
Dr. Alex Li shared with us the concept of smart city, how combining IOT and blockchain technology can help track the origins of products and goods in the future. He suggested intelligent street lighting system can track the logistics and the manufacturing process of all goods and products, locating all the products and goods information on blockchain.
Mr. Alan Li steering committee of BTAI and head of evaluation and assessment introduced the Qualified Technology on Blockchain Accreditation (QTBA) in the event. Mr. Li shared the record-breaking
year of 2018 of the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry, including the
number of investment value going in to the industry and the number of hacking events. QTBA is the one of the highest standard blockchain technology certification in the industry. With the supported by BSI Hong Kong, QTBA developed a security frameworks to protect blockchain security, Security Techniques – Information Security Management Systems and Societal Security – Business Continuity Management Systems.
